Good luck to everyone competing. I've been in the paddock for the past couple of days testing on the main track. Looks like a great venue for an FS event.

This topic is about the austrian not the austrALian FSAE competition!

There is a slightly difference between those countries most citizens of the American continent seem not to know http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

lol sorry guys!I think I am dyslexic sometimes. And for sure I know where it is. If you know a little bit what happened between 1939 ans 1945, you know where Austria is. You know in Canada we still have history lesson :P

So any new from the event?

to be a kind of a know-it-all, i have to add that between 1939 and 1945 Austria didn't officially exist because of the annexation by Nazi Germany...

Currently the top 3 are on the track for the endurance event, Global Formula Racing does incredibly quick times!

If anyone takes notes from the design finals conclusion, could you post 'em up? It would be interesting to know what the judges like about these cars, especially considering those teams shut down GFR on the design front.

Also, for those that were not there the acceleration course was downhill. We were close to .2 seconds faster than we were at California.

Yes, the acceleration track was a bit downhill, but I thought it lacked grip, we couldn't put the torque down well. I was trying to find out if there has been a faster 75 m acceleration run than our 3.752 at FSA. This helped: http://fstotal.com/statistics/...58-wins-acceleration (http://fstotal.com/statistics/wins-acceleration/58-wins-acceleration)

FS 2009 was only 75 yards, so that 3.740 doesn't count.
Does anybody know how UWA could run 3.71 s in FSAE Au 2006?

Alex, the judges especially liked our chassis. And everything else except the wiring.

The staging was not correct at FSAE-A 2006, cars were starting a long way behind the timing start line.

Although Pete is always telling newer members how good '06 was, I recently heard the story about the staging, it was not measured and there was a huge variation in where teams started although '06 still is the only UWA car with fully electric paddle shifts and was quite quick, We will see what we can do this year though http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
