Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows what grade steel the torsen differential housing is please? I'm looking to anneal the housing so I can drill through it to mount our housing onto. Any info hugely appreciated!

(Also, if you have torsen output shafts kicking around that you don't want, get in touch!)

Cheers,

See, that's what I thought. And I thought that because I read it on the torsen page, silly me.

"Please remember that the housing is made of hardened cast iron!"

May be worth trying to machine it, or at least hardness test it to see how hard it really is. I think I remember just tossing one in a very crappy lathe and just going to town on it.
