Hi
Just wondering wether anyone has had any experience with the BRT mini rack and pinion?
Also looking for the dimensions of the unit. A drawing or solid model would be great! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

C'mon guys, surely someone has used or heard of one of these racks.... We just want dimensions cos we can't get a good idea from a photo!!!!

I haven't used it, only the Stiletto racks, which look very similar from the photos. It's difficult to get engineering data from most after-market parts companies, so sometimes you just have to pony up the cash and measure the thing when it gets to you.
I have measurements of the Stiletto if you're interested. Can't get it to you until after 5/27 though. I've got some business in Pontiac to attend to http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We have purchased it, and it's on its way.
Those dimensions would be handy though, as the rack won't arrive for quite a while.
Thanks.

Here's a SolidWorks Model (http://students.washington.edu/dennyt/fsae/stiletto.zip)

We bought one last year, but then had to make our own as the guy who originally designed the steering system didn't know what he was doing.
It wasn't a bad rack, but the actual rack part of it wasn't supported very well.
Its not too hard to make your own - often the hadest part is finding someone to supply / cut the rack.
