Hi Homemade WRX ( Micah McMahan ) , I can work with the person that buys the dyno and give 200% attention to detail.

Also to speed up the shipping process it may be in you interested to use a agency that deals with customs on a daily bases. They have a fee associated with their services but it could also mean less headaches dealing with customs directly yourself

I will personally package the dyno in a very secure and heavy duty wooden crate. I live 15 minutes away from the shipping docks in the Melbourne water front and also 15 minutes away from air freight companies.

Depending how the buyer wants the shipping/air freight done will influence the cost in freight.
Since your very familiar with the processes of sending parcels overseas and you have already sent things to Australia ( Melbourne ? ) I can work with the company that you are already utilizing their services.

I will personally deliver the packaging to the freight companies door step.

If there are any special request for I am happy to look into those and discuss it further.
One Australian dollar has fallen dramatically to 0.63 USD in the last few months and has stabilized now. Back in July/September 2008 it reached 0.97 USD and as of today I had checked ( http://www.xe.com ) it is sitting on 1.00AUD = 0.683832 USD

Hi the beauty of this style of engine dynamometer is the speed rating of a constant 15,000 rpm all day long. No gearbox reduction but straight coupled to the dynamometer absorber head.

The G490EH Heenan and froude dynamometer will go high than 15,000 rpm for shorter duration testing provided one can supply a constant controlled cool water supply to it.

The G490EH is one of the worlds most robust dynamometer units.

So if your testing engine speeds well in excess of 10,000 rpm plus this is the dynamometer for you and/or your business.

One doesn't have to be concerned of over speeding the dynamometer at all.

Hi plohl LOL , tell them the dynamometer is required for R&D purposes.

Take someone in the treasury department of the Uni for a wining/dinning at a nice restaurant(s) and buy their wife a present "jewellery" usually works well, PMSFL

More importantly your University could use the dynamometer to make money $$$!!!

They could rent/lease the time out to other potential customers eg individuals , race teams and car club etc.

Then the " Services For Hirer " of the dynamometer will pay for the purchase and make a profit.
