Please help....!!!!!

I was wondering if anyone was in possession of some technical description / data about the shift drum of a Honda CBR600rr F05. I would like to know how much tolerance you have on the angle of the shift drum, before you risk damaging the gear wheels. Or maybe how long the guide grooves are straight before they change direction to shift to another gear.

You can see some pictures of it at this link: http://www.liljekrans.dk/iot/

I'm not completely sure what about or why you are asking. We currently have one of these apart with the shift drum out. So, I can probably help. I'll have to look when I go to the shop tonight.

We are considering removing the gearshift cam and the stopper arm, to eliminate the resistance when we shift gear. Instead we want to modify the mechanism and use a small stepper motor to make the shifts. Therefore we need to know how precise the angle needs to be, to avoid damaging anything vital. Some pictures of the shift drum (all the way around it) would be very helpful. We want to se how the guide grooves are designed.

Looking foreword hearing from you.
