Fuel bladder

Has anybody used an internal fuel pump with a fuel bladder?If so, have you somehow fitted the tank inside the bladder?Is it still somehow possible to access the pump if required, or must an external pump be used?

You shouldnt need a bladder, but if you do use one they have holes on the top that connect to the filler neck and access plate. If you are looking for sealing there are coatings you can buy.

Ok, thanks. Im doing a final year project on the fuel tank, so I wanted to consider all possible options. I have a feeling this may be quite expensive if I buy it though.

Also, it states in the rules that the fuel sight tube must not run below the top surface of the fuel tank. Im struggling t ofigure out how you will be able to read the fuel level of the tank if the sight tube is higher than the max fuel level?

The fuel level line is only there to designate the maximum level of fuel. It is not for the team to see how much fuel is in the tank. It is used by the event officials to fill the tank on three occasions at the competition. First for the fuel system leak check on the tilt table. The second and third are at the start and end of the Endurance & Fuel Economy Event, to check how much fuel the team has used during Endurance.

how can the judges know how much fuel used because the fuel level line can not show the fuel level in case of endurance event due to if your fuel tank capacity is 6 liters and you used 3 liters in endurance event this level line can't show this mount of fuel use!

Um, the way they've always done it. Fill it back up and see how much fuel is needed to reach the full line.
