Hello. I am new ansys Workbench 12 user.
I try to model a solid simple rotating disc wit a hole. By comparing the results from my hand calculations, I see a difference of 20% from the Ansys results. (Hoop stress. Radial is about 9%). Deformations are also far.
Does anyone know how to set up the boundary conditions for this example?
I am using a Rotational speed of 40000rpm. Out dia: 85mm, inner dia 6mm. Material: aluminium (thickness: less than 1 mm for Plane stress)
the support I have used is a cylindrical support: Axial and tangential direction fixed; radial direction free.
I would really appreciate any hint to solve this problem .
thanks
