I am attempting to design an accurate engine model in Ricardo Wave 8.0. One of the issues I have run across is the fuel type. When choosing from the list of fuel types it seems that only specific chemicals are availible in the preloaded options. What I am trying to use is 100 octane fuel, however. Does anyone know of the proper chemical mixture of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen in 100 octane fuel, as well as things like density, specific heat and heat of vaporization? Or does anyone have a file of 100 octane fuel already existing?
thanks

The WAVE tutorial addresses this.
It recommends using indolene.
If you haven't done the tutorial, you probably won't get any useful results from WAVE.

Octane number is an input to the optional knock model, not a property held in the fuel file.
As Wesley says, use indolene (unless you have some wierd blend).

To further emphasize what Wesley said, the tutorials are GREAT for getting started in WAVE.
