If someone does make a thread like that, Please make it sticky at the top of the Open FSAE Discussion page! Maybe they could even call it 'Design links sources list' or something like that to make it obvious what it contains!

The OP tried really hard to find the information himself.

sarcasm aside, what kind of drivetrain components are you needing help with? If you're completely lost, I would first start with a vehicle dynamics book and then move to shaft design/sprockets/chains/belts/etc.

You're gonna need a lot of books.

Designing a drivetrain entirely from scratch may not be best idea for a first year type team. I'd recommend going with some of the components from Taylor Race.
