we have been trying to get our engine into running condition and we hit a little snag. the hose on the right spits out oil, and from what i can tell in the service manual that we have these are vacuum hoses to run to the airbox. Maybe i wrong. my next question is if they do run to the airbox then why is oil coming. Most vac hoses im familiar with have nothing but air in them. also like most teams we are going to fabricate our own air intake and I'm wonder how those hoses work with a set up like that. Do we just cap the hoses? Any and all help is appreciated.

Well, I'm not intimately familiar with the F4i, but it sounds like a breather hose. Most sportbike engines I've seen will have a couple, usually one on the valve cover running through a PCV valve into the airbox, and another one in the transmission area that simply vents into the airbox. They mainly just go to the airbox for emissions purposes to keep blowby out of the atmosphere.
If you were to just cap them, all of the blowby would have to find another exit from the engine...probably some other gasket, resulting in bad oil leaks.
As far as where to connect them on one of our cars, you can either run them to the overflow can or the front side of the air filter.

If I can remember properly, there is one PCV hose on the valve cover, and it's parallel to the valve cover surface. This should vent to your catch can. The other two hoses that emerge perpendicular are for EGR, and can be blocked off safely with some plate of your choice (we've used carbon and aluminum with success, but carbon is more iffy)
There are two hose inlets on the oil filter, where water enters and exits the oil cooler. This should be plumbed into your cooling system to keep your oil cool unless you replace it with another cooler (air or otherwise.) I wouldn't eliminate it unless you use a different one.
The vacuum lines come off of the intake runners (the little brass barbs on the intake side of the head) and those can be blocked off, or used to reference your fuel regulator.

What Wesley said. Seal those EGR's with aluminum and use some high temp RTV.

What Wesley and Shaun said.
Those EGR lines run straight down into the exhaust, so if they are not capped off properly you will get extra air into the exhaust which will make you lambda readings erronous (if you are using one for tuning/running.
