I don't feel that this is a question that you should be asking if you really do intend to run a turbo. Adding a turbo is a complex proposition. I will tell you that in the past Honeywell has provided turbos to FSAE teams for free. Whether they still do this or not I am not sure. I think you could choose from a Garret GT3 or GT4. Something to look into if your hell bent on a turbo.

No way, those things will take way too long to spool up! Much better off just running multiple smaller turbos. I suggest eight.

What you need to do is run multiple turbos as suggested by Adambomb, but arrange them like the 3 on this pulling tractor to get super high booooooost!

Just make sure that you upgrade the head studs and install a crank girdle to prevent the head separating from the crank-case from the enormous combustion pressures.
Just don't wind up the boost too much, or this will happen: (different rig to the one above)

Note that the bottom half of the crankcase along with the crank and pistons stayed in place, while the top half of the block containing the cylinders commplete with the head bolted to it broke off... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Magrifain, could you give us a basic answer by first telling us why you want to run a turbo on that engine? What are you trying to accomplish with your turbo?

clearly a combination of turbos and superchargers is best! just make sure to use twice as many superchargers as turbos.

I think a 34C-24-34 is a good size. Not all that common but if you happen to find one in that size look after it, because they can be pretty high maintenance. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The size 10DD with double entry flange is a good option too...
