As promised, the new TRE chain drive differential is now released for purchase. The diff maintains the current Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) TRE chain drive internals so there is no change in the functionality and reliability our customers have come to rely on; however, our engineers have used our experience with racers over the last decade to reduce weight and simplify the package to fit the most common fitment requirements. The standard diff (06-10001) weighs 8.3 lbs which includes the entire differential, bearings, tripod housings, and inboard boots, everything you see in the installation prints linked below. All you will need to do is design and build pillow blocks to fit the bearings and insert your driveshafts with our 02002011 tripods (sold separately) into the tripod cups. The first units are expected to ship at the beginning of January 2013.

We are taking orders now to create a large production run to keep costs down with a tiered discount structure for the initial group purchase. The discount structure is as follows, but only orders placed before October 31, 2012 will be eligible for these group purchase discounts:
- 10-19 5% discount
- 20-30 10% discount
- >30 12% discount
- discount eligibility also requires a $1000 non-refundable but transferrable deposit - can be turned into TRE store credit of $900 if diff order is cancelled

The following standard diff options are available:
INV-06-10001 single drive (outside of bearing) with standard sprocket adapter $2,825
INV-06-10002 single drive (outside of bearing) NO sprocket adapter $2,750
INV-06-10003 double drive (outside of bearings) with standard sprocket adapters $2,925
INV-06-10004 double drive (outside of bearings) NO sprocket adapter $2,800
INV-06-10006 center drive (inside bearings) NO sprocket adapter $2,800
INV-06-10007 single and center drive (one outside and one inside bearings) with standard sprocket adapter $2,975
INV-06-10008 single and center drive (one outside and one inside bearings) NO sprocket adapter $2,900

We will entertain special requests as well as custom sprocket or brake rotor flanges. Custom flanges are $125 each (compared to $75 for standard flange with diff) and $100 each for any additional flanges of the same design built at the same time.

Installation drawings and IGES files (zipped) are online at http://www.taylor-race.com/techsprt2.cfm?catid=19 in our Tech Documents section.

Last i heard you had a couple teething issues. Glad to hear you've got it up and kicking! I'll have a talk with the guys for sure but we're designing the 2013 for the new diff. Should hear from us sometime soon!

We didn't have any teething issues with the diff, but the aluminum tripod housings that will save ~1lb overall require more testing before they can be released as a product offering. We expect to have the lightweight options available next summer as we have lots of other new products in the pipeline right now.
