University of Western Australia is in search of an F4 or F4i motor. They apparently spun a main bearing.

We don't have any spare motors, but I thought it'd be a good idea to see if any other teams could help them out.

They've travelled very far to make it here, and it really sucks that this has happened.

Post if you can help them out.

Hey this is mark,

Call me back at 215-895-1259. We might be able work something out with a motor that we have i the shop..

We have a couple dodgy spares. Stop by our paddock (University of Washington, #60) if you still need a motor.

I talked to them today before Vin posted this, as far as I know they are fine for now, and it was a false alarm (they hope).

Thanks for the response everyone. I apologise on behalf of Flavio for anyone he got up with his late-night calling last night. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We were a bit panicked because we heard a rattle which sounded suspiciously like the death rattle that our engine made when it spun a main bearing the week before it shipped. We think it was a false alarm and everything is running nicely (finger's very firmly crossed).

Hopefully everything runs well and we'll see you all out there this weekend.

PS. To anyone who saw our yellow beast at the Aussie comp, no 2-ft yellow flames from us anymore. Sorry. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
