ok im not even working on the car but ive been given a project to the lines of wings/no wings as i will hopefully (grades permitting) be working on the uni's car next year.
Well am i just a dumb ass or is this a far too hard an answer to give an answer to? we have front wings/ rear wings and venturis to think about among other things like gurney flaps etc... And when i read through books all i read is its a 'black art' etc..
Well ive worked on a simplified acceleration, braking, cornering simulation (started off in excel but moved it all to c++ to link and perform the many iterations that I need.
Anyone got some track details that i can run my simulation on so i can see what times i get for my no wing/front wing/ rear wing/ both cars and even better a time to see if my no wings car is a decent simulation.
Cheers, Rob
PS: Does anyone from Iowa State enter the us version of formula student?
