I worked out all the calculations of braking and selected braking components in such a way that brake line pressure coming out to be 700 psi at front during max deceleration, caliper's supplier recommended us not to exceed this pressure beyond 1000 psi. Can anybody tell that if it would be safe to have a this much of factor of safety (1000/700)considering that driver may put more force on pedal during panic conditions (but now I have assumed 100 lb for 1.5g of deceleration). Any ideas will be appreciated...

I calculated some brake line pressures once and had the same issue. Then I realized I needed to divide it by 2 since there are 2 pads in the caliper. It was a pretty simple oversite that I thought I would mention in case you are doing the same thing.

B7.1.8 The brake pedal shall be designed to withstand a force of 2000 N without any failure of the brake
system or pedal box. This may be tested by pressing the pedal with the maximum force that can be
exerted by any official when seated normally.

You are referring to 2 non-opposing pads, correct

/soapbox (please feel free to put me in my place)
Most commercial systems already have reasonable safety factors built into them and running at 700 psi for a 1000psi limit will be fine. We are running our brakes around 1400psi to lock for a maximum calliper limit of 1200psi. We haven't had a problem yet and have recorded spikes of over 1550psi.
Based on that I think you would be fine with the safety factor of 1.4

hope that helps
