Hey all,
Looking to pick the collective brains here:
Road car - MG Midget - Double A-Arms upfront, Live axle on watts linkage/3-link at the back. All up - 600kgs, 50-50 weight distribution. Unsprung mass 25kgs/corner at the front, 80kgs for the rear.
Looking for a set of coilovers to use on it that'll come in under $1500 the set, last more than 5 minutes, fit a standard range of springs and be available built to spec/with sufficient adjustment.
Where should I look?

I would check out AVO. You'll be doing, or have already done, some fairly extensive fabricating to put coil-overs on a Midget. FWIW I own the earliest surviving left hand drive Midget. 108th Midget made, May 1961.

QA1 (Carrara) has aluminum double adjustables for <$300 each. I got mine for $249 apiece.

www.british-cars.co.uk (http://www.british-cars.co.uk)
is an excellent site for all things MG and there is a dedicated section for Midgets.
Join as a member to access the archives for more Midget info than any sane person would ever want to know.
Cheers , Pete.

I think it'd be great if we could keep threads like this to the Off Topic forum since this one should mainly be kept to FSAE related discussions.
Good luck finding dampers though http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Agreed since the O/T section is there for exactly that purpose however the number of posts misplaced seems to be very small on this board.
Pete.
