Hi all,
i've a problem. I've calculated the spring force on my car using the Milliken.
So i'm using lotus suspension analysis for to study the car behavior.
Now, with the Milliken if I have 1,5 grade of roll with 15 m/s^2 of lateral acc., the lateral force is 465 N.
On lotus with 1,5 grade of roll, my IR is 0,25.
So I take this value and find my effective spring rate.
For now I don't need a roll bar.
When I load my values on lotus, I note that the spring compression is lower and the roll grade isn't 1,5 grade but only 0,4 grade.
Why this?
What are the limits of Milliken's formulas?
