Hey everyone.

If the "full" line on the sight tube is 2-4 inches above the top of the tank, the check valve for the breather system must be mounted above the actual fuel level to avoid having fuel above the check valve. SO, is the use of some kind of in-line externally mounted check valve a typical or legal solution? can the check valve be mounted on a flat welded to the filler neck, or does this make the filler neck illegal (due to it not being entirely cylindrical)? Anything anyone can share would be greatly appreciated....

Thank you!

the vent line should be higher than the filler neck. we typically have our check valve in between the top of the tank and the top of the filler neck and have had no problems. The check valve should close when the gas reaches it. thats what theyre built for.
