Does anyone know what kind of cable is used for this appication? I'd like to test a new system that would need that kind of cables but I don't want to buy them from Wilwood and co because it would cost way too much. I'd like to be able to get some bulk cable of this type.

Can anyone help?

Didier,
You might want to look into using speedometer cable... I'm not sure about price or availability, but you could look up a local speedometer repair/calibration shop and give it a shot.

it is flexible driveshaft. look in grainger or msc. any small parts mechanical book will have them too.
