we are participating in baja sae for the first time this year and would like to know all the possible tools(power,hand) required to fabricate our vehicle with ease.

the more hammers the better, especially a mini sledge. The two I have are labeled "Engineer's Hammer" which leads to interesting comments about stubborn parts, like "I'm going to engineer the shit out of it"

I concur on the need for BFH. Hell, half our FSAE car was built with one!!!

Basic hand tools/ratchet set, drills, tube notcher, cut off saw, SOLID quality angle grinder. They'll be a million other things you'll need. When you need it and don't have it you'll know what it is.

Not entirely true! I've performed many a percussive repair http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif to flaky electrical stuff over the years.....
