Hello guys,

B3.21.1 which
states that the attenuator must be able so stop a mass of 300 kg traveling
at a velocity of 7 m/s with a maximal deceleration of 40g and a maximal
average deceleration of 20g.

what is 40g? maximum deceleration is 40g or 20g?
grateful

you must prove your IA can absorb the energy without producing a peak acceleration of over 40g, and an average acceleration of over 20g during the impact. The IA must satisfy both conditions.

with the average rate and peak deceleration these are in 'g'.

Which is 'generic crushing units'

e.g. crush/seconds.

Standard gravity, or g, the standard value of Earth's gravitational acceleration at sea level (9.81 m/s2).
