Venezuelan Team Needs Help for MIS 2013 - 4/30/13

Hi Teams

We are coming to MIS for next week’s competition, as usual running around to finish the last details after weeks of little to no sleep.

Do to many issues in our country it has been almost impossible to import aluminum, and we ended up using a 1.5mm thick sheet that we had laying around to do our firewall, besides the weight that we are unnecessary adding its ugly ugly as we had to rivet the hell out of it to form it into the frame

We will be arriving to Michigan this Friday, and I really want to make a new one. Any teams close around Brooklyn that could donate me or sell some 0.4mm (0.015'') aluminum (The minimum required by the rules)to make a new one.

We won’t really have a cell phone but I can call you from the hotel as soon as we get there...any help is greatly appreciated…I know Ann Arbor is close by, but I can drive a little farther to go get it, or also having an address on where I could buy at as soon as we get there is also useful info…can’t really find anything on the internet

I am sure there is some sort of materials supply place in Ann Arbor where you could buy some Aluminum sheet. I'm not going to spend a bunch of time looking at this for you so just go on google and find a place that sells materials for fabricators. Worst case is you have to drive to some place closer to Detroit to pick up some material.

Hello!

Being from Ann Arbor, I can say that Stadium Hardware is a great place. When you're in town, I would call them and see if they carry it. If they don't, the attendants there are kind enough to direct you elsewhere. Alro also has a location in Ann Arbor, but I'm not really sure what all they have there, or if they are willing to sell on a low quantity basis.

Google search alro steel Livonia and get there phone number. They will have what you want but you will have to pay for it.

There is also an Alro Steel in Jackson, MI--Much closer to MIS.
