We (OSU) were leaving when we saw the smoke. Our train of cars slowed down to catch a glimpse.
It's not like everybody is going to want to do burnouts so like you said, all in good fun.
Congrats go out to Akron for there 7th place finish.
Now if only we didn't have to run our engine with a 20mm restrictor on the intake and a 20mm restrictor on the exhaust....

Just to clarify... Auburn and Akron did simultaneous donuts at the end of the R&T competition. We figured if two cars went out, we might get in less trouble.
The R&T guys were pissed at first, but they seemed cool with it after the fact.

Guess I didn't realize that Auburn added to the fun. We ran up after we heard the squeeling and only caught the last part of things. Still a big thumbs up! Too bad they were on rains as opposed to slicks http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I was thinking about laying down some rubber out there, but the thought of roasting off a brand new set of $500+ tires had me hestitating. Then I heard the R&T guys were pretty pissed at Auburn and Akron- we decided to roll our car back to the trailer.

Towards the beginning of the tire roasting, Akron (I think) did a huge drift about 40 - 50 mph across the lot that was really cool.
I'd like to see some video of that if anyone has any.

Forget video of the burnouts, I heard that someone from Florida had footage of the U of Marlyand's car rolling over.

hey guys, i have parts of the burnout on my video, but yall have to wait till i get back from the Claude Rolle seminar.

Also, if anybody out there that didnt make it to the competition and want to see what was goin on over the w/end, just send me a self address envelope with CD in it. If you dont have CD in there, make sure you have a $5 money order in there (so better make sure you have CD in there!!!).

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, you could say the R/T guys were a little upset, but I couldn't blame them. I have to give credit to Auburn, those Hoosiers really smoke.

If you thought that was cool, you should have seen our university van contributing to an aroma therapy session in the back parking lot after not making semi's. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif We'll try to get some video up sometime.
