I was wondering were the teams using bbs wheel got them from. I have searched the board and online and can't seem to find a good supplier of 13 inch BBS wheels. Any help would be greatly apprcieated.

try talking to John Slagle at BBS directly. They sold us wheels for $200 apeice (13" mag centers). Buyer beware though, the Goodyear 20x6.5-13 R065's dont like the 3 piece BBS wheels.

Sorry to revive an older thread, What problems did you have with the goodyears on the 3-piece BBS?

The BBS shells where the bead seats are on the (very) large side of the allowable tolerance, it takes a LOT of pressure to get the beads to seat. It took nearly 70 psi to get two of my 2692's to seat a few years ago, even with a ratchet strap around the centerline of the tire and soapy water all over the shells.

Either let a tire shop with an inflation cage do it, or build yourself a safety cage to put them in to seat the beads, if something bursts at that pressure you're liable to become very injured.

Thanks for clearing that up, we have used a cage in the past but to test our rims (uwam used to make our own), if we go does the BBS path hopefully either the new goodyears or the rim have changed to suit, in the meantime, we will use the cage. Thanks again

I heard that the Goodyear beads may be on the small side too, but I never had experience with any other brand of tires, so can't say for sure.

The 2696's are a pain in the rear as well. I just said screw it and paid the man.

The new 2704's are about 1/30 the difficulty to mount as the 2696's were.
