Could have sworn at some point someone posted up some pictures of the CNC mandrel bender their school had. They were bending lengths of tube into random shapes for fun..

Anyone remember this or who it was? Or am I imagining things?

WWU had one when I was there.
You might be talking about this picture:

From this topic. (http://fsae.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/125607348/m/15810917311?r=25310294121#25310294121)
Not sure you've been around long enough to remember that one though...

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's working right now. It was always a little bit of a hassle to make it work.

Those weren't random shapes though. They were just stock bends we only had one size radius for the 1.375" tube so I just bent a bunch of it up. That's what we use to make headers.

How many headers? You're like the fat man tossing a sandwich into the garbage as a malnutritioned child watches near by. I wish we had a mandrel bender...or a bender.
