Let's hope it stays that way.

ha, looks like there gona be sellin a lota rain tires this year....the current weather report from Wisconsin (other side of the big pond..aka Lake Michgian): mid 50s for the highs the last few days and rainy on and off...we had snow last weekend, enough that it was blowing across the roads and accumulating on the grass...

honestly, i think we had our shitty weather THIS week, so we might have outsmarted mother nature. as a michigan native, i now understand why it's allways been crappy weather during the middle of may. from kindergarten up until i didnt know what fsae was, i now know the reason for needing my winter coat a couple of weeks before june.

of course, we could have two weeks of crappy weather..

We just need a big friggin tent, and do this thing indoors.

Rain sucks, forecast looks to be rain all the time http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Change of plans guys... how about we do this in California instead? I've been wearing shorts and a t-shirt for 2 months already.

Haha, it is at the... SilverDOME. We could just run laps around the dome in the consession area, or make a stadium truck like temporary road course. How cool would that be?

I agree with stanford and cal (hey, go cardinal guys!), but i think we should put it in the dodger stadium parking lot. 35,000 parking spaces of pure, unadulterated asphalt.

Or out in Fontucky (California Speedway) where there is more space than we'd ever know what to do with. Not only that, but the asphault is perfect and not the slightest bit bumpy.

West Coast Practice was there, and it was FANTASTIC.

I think the shittiness of the lot adds a lot to the competition. Otherwise, we could just build brown go karts (very stiff suspensions).

You know we drive semi rigs around on the silverdome lot during the spring just to move the pavement around. I hate brown go karts.

Well, whatever, suit yourself. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif I just thought it'd be nice to not have to make yet another compromise. My main argument for the move was the comparatively stellar weather. Just think if teams didn't have to spend an extra $500-$1000 for freakin' rain tires that they rarely, if ever, use. Well, that's the situation for many teams around the country. Come on Mike, you're supposed to be in favor of a comp on the west coast http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ... imagine driving 21 hours from Seattle rather than 5 days. Did I mention the nice weather? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Just think about the nice warm sun when we're all soaked and cold this week.

i've never been to california speedway. i try to stay out of the 909.

i have, however, attended my fair share of dodger games in my 21 years as a resident of the city of angels.

now, if only i'd stayed local for college...

This HAS to jinx it, but every day I've checked, the weather forecast has gotten better and better...

http://www.weather.com/activities/other/other/weather/tenday.html?locid=48342

Now they're saying 40% chance of rain on Thursday, followed by <20% chance, mostly sun, and 70 degrees the entire rest of the weekend.
