Dear Formula SAE and Formula Student teams,

After 4 years of development and 11 months of successful beta testing in DTM, V8 Supercar, ALMS, NASCAR, GrandAm, and several amateur series, OptimumG LLC is pleased to announce that OptimumK™ is finally being released to the public. The new benchmark in Kinematics Software is now available for Formula SAE and Formula Student teams at a special price.

OptimumG LLC has been involved in all levels of motorsports since it was founded by world renowned racecar engineer Claude Rouelle. For 30 years, Claude designed, engineered and tuned cars that won many races and championships on road courses and ovals in Europe, Japan and the US.

Harnessed from OptimumG's vast knowledge and experience in racecar engineering, OptimumK is an all-new kinematics analysis software. It features ground-breaking capabilities in computational suspension analysis, such as the ability to separately or simultaneously input roll, pitch, heave and steering motions. This means that you can import track data and virtually test your suspension under all conditions.

Question on installation..

We do all our design work in what is technically an open computer lab on campus. With that kind of retail price tag, is this software something that can only be installed on one computer? Or does it uses a USB dongle so it could be installed in a lab and then just 'activated' at some free station?

The Formula SAE/Formula Student discounted software is licensed to a single computer, and does not use a dongle. After it is installed, it will require an online activation to authenticate the license and serial number, similar to the online activation procedure used in Microsoft Windows XP.

You may need to nominate a computer/workstation which you frequently use, to install OptimumK.

RBbugBITme, what do you mean by OptimumG Schedule? If you mean the Vehicle Dynamics Seminar, none has been planned as yet for the rest of this year. Information regarding upcoming seminars will be posted on our website (http://www.optimumg.com) as soon as the dates are confirmed.
