Hello everybody,

I was going through RCVD and in the chapter on Suspension Geometry, the author uses 'Descriptive Geometry' to find out the inner pivot axis.

I fairly understood what was written. But I was still unsure of how should one go about it when caster is included in the side view.

Should one project all the points from the front view onto the line joining the upper and the lower ball joints (which results from the inclusion of caster) instead of projecting them on the center line?

Is it that nobody follows this technique or nobody cares about the caster?

I'd highly recommend using some sort of software to do this, not projecting points by hand...

Hi,
I have used this method last year, becasue I didnt have any software, but this year I am using SHARK. and I found big difference between the results. I also suggest you to use some softwares.
but if u want to use this methode, about castor, just change the point 2 and 12 on the arbitrary line.
