Has anyone been able to find retaining conicals for sphericals cheaper than $1.79 a piece from pegasus? I didnt see any previous discussions about this and they seem a bit overpriced for washers.

i'd suspect they're what we (and chassis shop) call "safety washers"...they allow you to have misalignment in the spherical without running into stuff.

Sorry for the incorrect terminology, but why are these little guys so expensive? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?

If they're too expensive, make your own. Any manual lathe will get it done.
