The rules simply state you can't use tyres on wheels smaller than 8" in diameter (this excludes gokart tyres) and you must use 4 of them.

After that, the choice is yours. Use whatever tyres you wish. Part of your design would be to make your tyre choice.

Of course, it might help to do some research (google is your friend) to see what everyone else is using.
