I was going to say things like proper corner weight scales, a timing system that doesn't rely on a human operated stopwatch, etc, but I realised all these can be overcome with Nick's Xmas wish: a team of great people.
During the 2-3 years I've been involved with FSAE, it really boils down to about 10 guys at the end of the year/comp. These people end up being the ones who show up every day to fix the car when it breaks, do maintenance on it, analyse data, drive it, prepare for comp, and ultimately get the most out of FSAE.
We've done alright with around 10 guys, but if we had maybe 20, things would go a lot better - its about trusting people to do things the right way.
See all the Australian's at comp!

Can't agree with this more! Right now, I only have one other guy I can really trust to do work on our car.. Unfortunately, I still have to prompt him to really think about what he is doing sometimes.
So yes, could Santa please bring me some skilled workers!

I am notoriously hard to shop for and bad at receiving surprises. When I want something I spend some time weighing all my options and picking out the best one for me, and that's hard to do if you aren't actually me. I am currently eyeing up some all weather floor mats. I also mentioned that I'd like a window tint once I get the car, so I may get a gift certificate to the tint shop.

Well much to the dismay of my wife I just bought an old 100kN Instron, so I guess I can cross that off my wish list.
