Does anyone know what it means to have monotonic valve data in Ricardo? It keeps on killing my simulation because of it.
Thanks,

Not sure what that exact error means, but make sure you have a lift curve versus crank angle AND discharge coefficient data across the same lift/diameter ratio as you have in the lift curve. Usually monotonic means you only have one data point when there should be many.

Valve data and head flow data must be defined as Monotonically Increasing (http://www.nist.gov/dads/HTML/monotoncincr.html). Sounds like a problem with your input data. Try replacing whatever you are using with sample data just to see if you can compile.
