Hey Guyz . .
WE, at Delhi College of Engineering are planning to go for a Honda CBR600 F4i engine for our 2005 entry. But to finalize on that choice. . .we need to compare its Torque and Power curves. It would be really nice if some1 could send them over to me . . . at :

manas_trivedi@eth.net

Thanx and Regards.

Hi Manas

Bad not to see you at FStudent this year.

About the power curves. Stock power and torque aren't important because you must using the restrictor and probably going to design your own injection sistem. Most of the extra power from late models (f4, F4i are coming from the modified intake, injection sistem). More important are weight (c.g.), packaging and the operation od the clutch and gears.

Here are some curves of stock motorcycles from exthaust catalogs(compared with a race exthaust system):

That Kawasaki engine is one that I would almost guarantee that you can not get because only about 300 of those bikes were built. However, the older ZX-6R(2000-2003) performs very well but has a torque dip and then wall at about 3000-5000 rpm depending on the intake system, even though the intake system was tuned for a much higher RPM. The interesting thing is it is evident in our simulations with Virtual 4-Stroke and the results we have gotten from the dyno.

Heeeyyy Manas, Congratulations!! I've just seen you are out of the Fstudent waiting list.

How far are you with the 2004 car? I hope you can complete it until Fstudent so you can enjoy the competition and not to see you all working until night and missing the enduro on the brake test (It was the brake test, wasn't it?)

Go on Delhi!!

The akrapovic website which was linked above can still be used to find stock power and torque curves. For example, here's a 2009 CBR600RR: http://az79640.vo.msecnd.net/a...b8ad86560bd1001a.pdf (http://az79640.vo.msecnd.net/akrapovicbppmultimedia/af4d31fb6b3a4371b8ad86560bd1001a.pdf)
