Hi
were using the university special torsen differential this year and are having trouble locating CV joints at the correct sizing. Most of the car applications are proving to be too large with different inner and outer splines. This is adding cost to production. We have found that CV joints out of a volkswagon is about the most cost effective solution, although not ideal.
Are there any other teams using the same diff and what soultions have you found.

Yes, most teams that run the torsen use the university special (probably 50% of the cars or more use that diff). We make our own stubshafts, weld them to tripod cups from a small FWD car, and have them splined to fit the torsen. It takes a while, but it's all free (sponsorship - it doesn't hurt to ask).

I like Denny's solution... FREE. We haven't been able to drum up as much support locally so we bought a 3 3/4 inch pre-splined shaft custom made for the Torsen differential. Because of the outer diameter we on need to machine our tripod housings right in the shaft.
