Hey guys, some of you know me as the pres. of VCU's first year FSAE team. So in trying to start this project I've been doing some research and I have a few questions...

First, if you hit another car in a race do you get a 5 second penalty? And if you do an oil change right after buying the motor do you gain extra hp.. and how much?? I've also been wondering if any of you guys have opted for the 60,000 dollar turbo upgrade!! WOW that must be a big increase in hp!!!1! And also is there any damage modeling during the competition?! I'd love to wall ride those cones!! I'm also wondering what times you guys pulled off on Nurburgring!!?! finally, does anybodys thumb hurt after racing? I might invest in that steering wheel people are raving about.. NEWAYS!! Just wanted to wish everyone good luck during this years competition!!! and happy GT4'ing!!11!

later guys =)

just make sure you train your b-spec driver before the enduro event...

I think it's a good idea to focus on increasing the battle skill points. Then you can run the race at 3x speed...

As for car upgrades, I usually just start with the racing intake exhaust, and the chip.

anyone know who makes "the chip" for a honda F2 with Haltech E6K engine management, and if so is it similar to the diesel ones, plug in 75hp and 150 ft/lbs of torque? If so, thats might be worth $60k

Hey IttyBitty,

Time for you to pick up a controller and get with the program. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's a joke. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

LOL IttyBitty, haha man, I didn't know anybody would take me seriously http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I thought I had kinda made it obvious when i stated "wall riding cones" haha

And regarding B-spec, you have to train the B-spec driver? my friend and I are just starting to race Nurburgring 24h and I had only a few B-spec points, and our drivere is awesome..

By the way IttyBitty, if u still don't get it we're talking about a game called Grand Tourismo 4, one of the most realisic driving sims ever (and an awesome game)

really? my b-spec driver couldn't pass my grandma.

But I find it easier to just put him in a car that's faster to begin with.

On a more realistic note, we gained 2 hp a couple years ago by switching to Amsoil synthetic motor oil. Couldn't compare it this year since we've been running Amsoil since we got the engine.
