Has anyone ever had any experience with the Torsen T-2R?? We've been running the regular T1 for a few years now with pretty good results, and are currently looking at if there are any better diff setups available. The link below provides a description of the T-2R if you are unfamilier. The T-2R seems to take care of many of the short-comings of the T1/T2 at first glance, but I don't know of anyone running it. Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

From the article:
"The current applications for the TORSEN T-2R include the Ford 8.8 inch axle, the GM 8.5 inch (10 bolt ) axle, and the GM 7.6 axle."

Sounds like they'd be a little more oversized than the standard T2 we use.

Not a bad idea to add preload springs...

My thoughts exactly. Since we already design and manufacture our own diff housing, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to incorporate the same concept into a standard T2. Now I just need to start working through all those blasted calculations....
