The Wasington DC Region is encouraging FSAE teams in need of seat time and development time to come out to some of our events. We have a huge lot of about 30 acres and run National style events of 240+ cars giving them 4 runs each. We are hoping to develop a sort of mini competition among the FSAE teams who are fee to bring out their 05 cars for seat time or the 06 cars when they are built. Our website is:
solo.wdcr-scca.org
A word of warning, the events fill up very fast, you need to be online and ready to register by 8http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gifm on the Sunday night that registration opens. I know there are some teams that are somewhat local to us like RPI, UofM, Old Dominion, Virgina Tech, Lehigh, Drexel and Villinova that may want to try this. BTW, we are also hosting the SCCA NE Divisional the 29/30/31 of July and I know RPI haws already signed up for it.

There are several FSAE teams already signed up, and it would be great if we had more! Since we'd basically be running in our own laptime group with other high end mod cars, it would be great to have a competition within fsae for FTD!

Alumni of RPI will be in attendance as a main sponsor of the event (with his company of course), as well as driving RPI's Fsae car.
I believe ODU and Maryland have already registered as well.

Please come and support the Ron Katona memorial event, its going to be a great weekend!

Man, that´s awesome. I wish there were a few competitions like that in my country so we could practice a little bit more throughout the year. Any recommendation on how to organise this sort of thing? We´re really looking forward to do something like that.
