Does anyone know of any companies in Australia that can supply 10 inch slicks to Formula SAE teams (perhaps at a discounted price). Alternatively, does anyone have any lying around that we could take off their hands to practice with.

We have spare Dunlop 10s in a good compound as I just reminded Mark in an earlier email.

Email me if your interested.

Good luck getting 10's into the country before December. No 10's are made in Australia, nor does any company stock them. Basically they get made to order from either Japan (Dunlop) or South America (Goodyear). They usually get shipped over to, meaning a long wait!

how much customs do you guys have to pay on tires?

Customs? Dunno. For what it is worth, the dunlops we are using are around $200 for the 170 wide, and $192 for the 155, so they are pretty cheap. Goodyears are a bit more expensive, around $300 each from what we were told. The Goodyears get made in South America, and get sent here via 7 different continents apparently (some twice), therefore the extra cost.
