Exhaust tubing sizes

I am interested in what sizes everyone uses for exhaust headers. we run 1 3/8" - 35mm OD exhaust tube 1.6mm wall thickness.

has anyone tried using 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 ???

we run a CBR 600 but all the 600 4cyl motors use similar exausts.

My advice would be, short of having simulation software, suck it and see. The 1 1/2" tubes would give more top end, and the 1 1/4" would give you more bottom - compared to 1 3/8".

What do your curves look like? Do you want to add more anywhere at the expense of some other place?

To answer your question, this years team, which I'm not on, are running 1". Don't know what the results are yet.

are you talking about the primarys/secondarys? or out through the muffler?
