Hey guys...
Just wondering how much your chassis/frame weights???
What`s your torsional rigidity with that weight??
Keep cool...

42 lbs, no rollbar. Most of the bodywork in place. Our previous car was 2,600 lbs/degree, and this one will be much, much stiffer.

Havent tested torsional strength yet.... no carbon panels are in. The space frame alone weighs 33lbs. The panels should add another 5 lbs.

WOooo...
Sounds light. No wonder our car weighted 742 lb. We had about 1400 lb/deg theoritical torsional stiffness. This year we are aiming for 2400 and a much lighter chassis. The problem last year was, we had no computer programms to simulate. And, I suppose, you use cromoly. We don`t have that here. And it`s to expensive....
Hopefully, using mild stell, we will stay under 55 lb...
Thanks guys...

Theoretically we are ~60lbs and 2700 ft-lbs/deg... Without a stressed floor included in those calculations.
