If it was me building it at home, and I didn't get any spectacular deals on anything, but I did have my own machining facilities and was doing all the work myself: Probably $30,000Can or ~$20,000US.

We don't use many exotic parts in our cars, very little CF, and no titanium, inconel, etc. The big cost would be labour of course.

Honestly if someone was building one of these cars to sell at a profit, I'd expect it would cost more in the range of $60,000US to account for labour. (remember this is without discounts on wheels, tires, bearings, etc.)
