Avon vs Hoosier

This is for those teams who have run both Avons and Hoosiers, does anybody have any comparison info? It seems the Avons may be better suited to our application because of their British hill-climb origin (ie lightweight cars + Detroit weather)

Usually its more expensive for a US team to get AVon's, unless you order in huge bulk I guess. Maybe some teams should get together and get a distributor to order a bunch, and then distribute them...Formula SAE Group Buy http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was just wondering how easy is it for US teams to by 10" avons or hoosiers, and what is an average price for both?
