Guess you're not able to go and not getting a refund? That sucks. I'm sure there are more than a few schools willing to foot the bill and take your spot, and it doesn't make sense to charge both you and them for a single entry.

If I recall, there was a team (or two?) a while backing looking for a team who had registered and couldn't make it, so as to take their spot in the competition. Might be worth your while to dig back a bit and see? It's too late to get all your info into the event program and such, but I don't see why they can't change the registration sheet for a new team.

It turns out that after much bantering, there is simply no way to transfer an entry to another team. So, in the rush to enter our team, and now due to a simple debt problem, we can't have our car properly ready, and we can't get our money back.
