Just got word that Penske came out with a 1/4 midget shock that would be perfect for FSAE. We are set with our shocks but I thought I would pass the info along. These are brand new so I don't have much info, but I can give you some basic info.

Eye to Eye: approx. 10.5"
Threaded shock body with detents for easy height adjustment. No external adjustment(great for teams that got monkeys that like to turn knobs) but shock can be revalved. It looks like a shrunk down Penske oval track shock.
Price: approx. $215

Anita really knows her stuff (even if she doesn't admit it) and has been a huge help to our team.

Last Year we used a similar shock manufactured by Carrerra for NC Chassis Co. It has the same dimensions as the Penske but is slightly cheaper. It has basically the same internals with a creative shaft seal. its also a 1/4 midget shock. We used it last year with good success, but this year are switching to the 1/4 midget Penske's after seeing them at PRI in 2002.

I've also heard about these shocks and found a retailer for Eibach springs that are made these shocks. They've got good prices and are easy to work with. I'm not sure on all of the rates they have however.

If you click on the info in their webpage, it says they come 70# to 160# in 5# increments.
