I was just filling out my spec sheet. What is a motion ratio? is that like a roll moment ratio fore and aft? this is the only thing i can come up with.

More specifically, "Motion Ratio" as defined by Carroll Smith is MR = wheel travel / spring travel. Installation Ratio is the inverse.

Wow, I feel really stupid now. Thank you. I had just spent two hours making sure everything was going to work out with the motion ratios, but hadn't realized that that was what that ratio was called. Then not more than ten minutes later I got stumped on the spec sheet. Oh the irony.

Thanks again,
Bill

this doesnt have to do with your post, but i noticed your handle. Out here in Pittsburgh every summer they have a race called the vintage grand prix and they happen to race the 2002's, you should come check it out.

In addition to the vintage cars, SCCA brings a crew and we actaully race our FSAE cars in little autocross course. Last year was the first year and penn stae, and carnegie melon attended. just some food for thought.
