Check all of your fuses.
When you powered the pump directly, where did you tap the power from? You could also have a harness issue.

HI THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY WE HAVE CHECKED THE WIRING FROM THE IGNITION TO THE ECU AND DIDEN'T FIND A PROBLEM THERE WAS POWER THERE AND WE TOOK THE POWER FROM THE BATTERY AND IT WORKS FINE AND CHECKED WITH A MULTIMETRE AND THAT WAS OK THE BIKE DOES TURN OVER BUT WONT START WE HAVE PUT NEW RELAYS AND THE POWER IS THERE A WELL AND WE DONT GET A SPARK AT THE PLUGS AND ALL THE LIGHTS WORK ON THE DASH,THANK AGAIN FOR YOUR REPLY REGARDS MIKE

If that's the case, it might be something in the ECU, or a sensor, both of which are very hard to diagnose for sure. You might have to find a similar bike and plug in that ecu. Small chance your spark plugs are fouled...

hi thanks again for getting back to me the first thing i did was change the plugs and put a new fuel pump on as the old one was rusty cleaned all the electical connections and checked the wiring with a multimetre and did not find any breaks i was told yesterday there is somthing to do with a power command or somthing like that iam going to take the tank of again and double check the wiring and for a spark, but i do think its the ecu/cdi thats the problem so see what i can find regards mike

Hm, if there is a power commander or anything aftermarket installed, get rid of that and try to get it running bone stock.

HI THANKS FOR THE REPLY IVE JUST BEEN TOLD TO CHECK THE SIDE STAND SWITCH AND ALSO THERE IS A CUT OUT SWITCH THAT IF YOU DROP THE BIKE IT CUTS THE FUEL PUMP OFF AND THE IGNITION OFF I THINK ITS A TILT SENSER SO I WILL CHECK THEM WHEN I FIND THEM WOULD YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW WERE I CAME FIND THEM AND IS IT SOMETHING YOU HAVE COME ACROSS REGARDS MIKE http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
