Last week, V8 Supercar drivers Craig Lowndes and Glenn Seton from Ford Performance Racing test drove our 2002 Steel City Racer. Pics and videos are available on our website. Lowndes was 0.05s faster than Seton over a 25s lap.

This probably doesn't mean much for any non-australians, but V8 supercars are based on Australian production cars. Craig Lowndes is one of Australia's top drivers, having won the Australian Touring Car Championship 3 times.

More pictures and videos available later this week. Also, look out for UOW Racing on RPM in coming weeks.

Cheers,

Hahaha, I knew that !! I would have been there if I wasn't trying to impress my new boss with my attention to duty on a Friday afternoon.
Good show guys and gals !

Yeah, Lowndes did hit some cones on his first few laps, but he was pushing the car to (and past) it's limit. After a few laps he got serious, and, like Seton, was a pretty clean driver.

We only recorded times for Chris Wood, and he was within 0.2 of a sec without trying too hard. No cones were hit on the driver's fastest laps.

I haven't been through the Motec log files yet, so I don't have any figures on acceleration or top speed.

Cheers
