View Full Version : Fox Vanilla R Damper
Does anyone have any dimensional data on the Fox Vanilla R that they might be able to pass on to me? I only really need an envelope for space management purposes. We're using the 165mm open length units
We're using CATIA V5R12, but a cross section DXF or something that I could use to create a solid from would be a great help.
Cheers.

Here's (http://students.washington.edu/dennyt/fsae/fox_vanilla_RC_2.0_various_formats.zip) a Fox Vanilla RC (with reservoir- you can chop it off to make it an R), with a 2.0" stroke. You may want to shorten the overall length, I think it's longer than the 165mm you mentioned.
The zip file has folders, so extract it, don't drag & drop out of it. The folders are for solidworks filetype, iges, and step. Let me know which works best for CATIA.
Also, your local bike shop might let you measure up one of their shocks

Cheers mate.
I have a feeling step will be most prefered by CATIA, will report back though.
