We seem to be in a bit of a sucky situation as we got our roll hoops back from our bending sponsor, but they used 1.055" OD tubing with a wall thickness of 0.120", being all they had around.

Does anyone know where we can get 1" OD 0.095" wall thickness tubing in or around the Montreal area (ETS, Poly, Concordia, ENA, I'm talking to you guys).

Hi Matt,

we bought 1 in OD 0,095 from Métaux Solution (used to be SuperMarché du Métal) in St-Laurent (514 633 8010). We did not use 4130 for the hoops but I think they can order it. Otherwise, if your hoops are shorter than 8ft it would be easy and not much more expansive to order 4130 from Chassis Shop or any other supplier.

I'm pretty sure we can get some at the school store, I'll let you know the price tomorrow.

Hey Pat

We're using mild steel anyways for our frame, and metaux solutions has exactly what we need at a somewhat more reasonable price than what I'm used to from them (possibly has something to do with the change of name? change of ownership perhaps?).

Marc,
When you have the price, can you email me at mixmastermatt99 (at) hotmail.com or if you want, call the mcgill fsae office at 398-2250.

Thanks guys
