We had our first short test last Thursday. Stripped everything down and crack tested, everything was good so it went back together again for a good long test tonight.

Car is going really well, and showing some big potential. Some pictures and a video are on our website.

So who else of the Aussie teams are on the track, aside from Swinburne?

Great news George,
Monash have had a pedal around, UWA and UOW are close ....and all those teams have nominated for Pontiac in May! An Aussie invasion http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

BTW, is your diff working as planned?

Great work George,

The car looks small and nimble.
How has the gear shifter gone? I caught a quick look on the webcam the other day, very tidy. Also is the open front on the nose functional or just for styling?

Thanks guys.

The diff is working out as planned, although with some slicks (testing was on formula fords) and the sway bar we should really get things sorted out. We haven't seen any adverse affects at all yet.. and it makes a cool noise when you go slow around corners http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The shifter is working really well - just have to get the ignition cut for full power shifts working better. Also going to mount it with proper brackets etc.

The hole in the front of the nose cone will accomdate the crush potection as well as a bit of styling... we're still debating on teeth for it =)
